F.A.C.E.S is a collection of activities in the spirit and tradition of the classic variety show. This series of events has been created to promote free, community based, family friendly, activities. The Venice Art Walls will serve as the epicenter of this proposed collection of the arts. The monthly concept will be influenced by the relevant events of that particular time, including the holidays and social awareness campaigns associated with that month.
The F (food) portion is a combination of restaurant booths, food trucks, and street food vendors. It features unique foods and desserts that you can’t find everywhere. The mission is to provide exposure to a variety of cultures, and ethnic based foods.
The A (ARTS) focuses on the seven core artistic categories.
·Painting. ·Sculpture. ·Literature. ·Architecture. ·Cinema. ·Music. ·Theater.
Every event features a workshop type performance where an artist performs live and answer questions about techniques, their medium, and industry related questions the people might have. The public will have an opportunity to participate in the artistic form that the artist does in the participatory portion of the workshops.
The music will be live and feature different genres. The theater will perform live plays. There will be spoken word, and poetry along with unique collaborations and combinations of mediums.
The C (comedic) component is in collaboration with Ben Gonzales who produces comedy shows and is born and raised in the Venice area. He is passionate about giving back and providing opportunities for up-and-coming as well as much more established comedians.
The E (Events)
In the original spirit of the Venice Pavilion, we look to accomplish the dream of creating the “Arts Mecca” of the West Coast. This is not a one-time event, rather the creation of a larger-than-life legacy program that will
Serve The People in so many ways both local and visitors for years to come.
STP Foundation- (S) The STP Foundation has curated the iconic Venice Art Walls program since 2012. We are deeply committed to contributing to the culture in many aspects. As we come out of the pandemic, it is important to give back to the local small business owners and residents of the community. We understand the unprecedented challenges that the world experienced through these times, but now it is time to move forward. What better way than to do it together.
